Planetarium
The Planetarium in Bochum, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offers astronomical shows, readings, talks, music shows, kids' shows and much more.
The director of the Planetarium, Prof. Dr. Susanne Hüttemeister, has close relations to the Ruhr-University Bochum, as she is an irregular Professor there and member of the Astronomical Institute. She regularly holds the lectures "Leben im All" und "Physik des Universums", which are part of the elective areas of the Bachelor/Master program.
There is regular exchange between the two institutions, exemplified by Prof. Dr. Ralf-Jürgen Dettmar's regular talks in the Planetarium. (E.g. on the 24th of April 2015, 19:30: "Happy Birthday: 50 Jahre Ruhr-Universität - 25 Jahre Hubble-Weltraum-Teleskop").
