Overview

The 80 cm (31 inch) Nasmyth telescope IRIS resides on an alt-azimuth mount and has two usable Nasmyth foci. It was installed in March 2010 and upgraded by a movable M3 in November 2010.

Nasmyth A is equipped with a 1x1k Infrared CCD camera developed and built by Prof. Klaus Hodapp at the Institute for Astronomy, Hawaii. The optical system provides a resolution of 0.74"/pixel and a field-of-view of 13’ x 13'.

Nasmyth B can be connected with the spectrograph BESO

 

Überblick

Das 80 cm (31 inch) Nasmyth Teleskop IRIS hat eine Alt-Azimut Montierung und zwei nutzbare Nasmyth-Fokusse. Es wurde im März 2010 installiert und durch einen beweglichen M3 im November 2010 erweitert.

Im Nasmyth A befindet sich eine 1x1k Infrarotkamera, die von Prof. Klaus Hodapp vom Institute for Astronomy, Hawaii entwickelt und gebaut worden ist. Das optische System bietet eine Pixelauflösung von 0.74"/pixel und ein Bildfeld von 13‘ x 13'.

Nasmyth B kann mit dem Spektrographen BESO verbunden werden.
