The Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) was launched in 1999. Its wavelength range from about 900 to 1100 A contains a large variety of absorptionlines that enable us to study stellar composition, analyze the interstellar and intergalactic medium, and obtain more information about objects in our solarsystem. Although not designed to observe emission from the interstellar medium, FUSE has also detected the OVI 1032/1038 doublet in emission along a few sight lines, which prompted an archival survey for diffuse OVI emission in the Milky Way. I will give a brief overview over the mission, its major scientific results to date, and the ongoing OVI emission survey.
